Lar Benedi began with the visit of a Brazilian missionary to an underserved community in Kampala, Uganda. During her visit, she met Bernadette — at the time, Berna was just a little girl whose hands and hair had been burned in an accident.
Touched by her story, the missionary decided to provide the medical care that Berna needed. Her compassion didn't stop with Berna's situation — God led her heart to help as many children as possible in that African community.
Today, six years later, Lar Benedi (the name comes from Bernadette) provides shelter, education, provision, and the love of God to over 50 children, with more than 100 names on the waiting list, waiting for someone to commit as a sponsor.
Our family grows every year and we trust that God will continue to show us His goodness in every season, guiding us and walking with us in the next steps.

It is a wonderful privilege and an incredible opportunity to serve the little angels sent our way through this project.
Although the need is enormous, we are committed to touching and transforming one life at a time.
The joy of it all is the real stories that unfold of changed lives and restored destinies.
I hope that as you browse through these pages of information, your heart will be touched with compassion and your mind ready to act and make a beautiful difference in a child's life.

To be agents of social transformation and community development for the children enrolled in the project. While we care for their practical needs, we also introduce Jesus through a daily Christian environment and prayer.
To combat social vulnerability in Uganda through a school curriculum program for children. Our goal is to equip them in their academic skills and prepare them for the future and the challenges ahead.
To find committed sponsors willing to financially adopt our children for a monthly amount of $40. This will cover the child's education, meals, medical care, and mentorship.
